and PMIRS Award 2004 for ARUP

Members
will be pleased to know that your organisation (ARUP) has
been given the Institute of Road Traffic Education (India)
and Prince Michael International Road Safety Award (UK) for
the year 2004.
The
IRTE Road Safety Awards were instituted in the year 2000,
to acknowledge extraordinary contributions by individuals/organisations,
towards development of a positive Road Culture in Traffic
Management and Road Safety in India.
The
Prince Michael International Road Safety Awards (U.K.) recognise
the achievements and innovations for improvement in Road Safety.
Instituted in 1987, the awards have given public recognition
to those who have made outstanding achievements and innovations
worldwide.
Since
2002, the IRTE and PMIRSA collaboration is a step towards
Global Encouragement, in building a positive road culture
through safety attitudes and practices and towards reduction
of road accidents.

gives us immense pleasure to inform you that the panel of
judges have selected Association of Road Users of Pakistan
for the Institute of Road Traffic Education & Prince Michael
International Road Safety Award 2004 for your extraordinary
contribution towards Global road safety.
A
large number of National & International nominations were
received for the awards this year. Judging the award was a
stimulating experience because of varied expertise of the
panel of judges as well as the intrinsic interest and merit
of the nominees. The work of selection was very difficult
as most nominees have done exceptionally well in their respective
fields.
The
award appreciates your commitment, dedication and work done
to build a positive road user culture through safety attitudes
and practices towards reduction of road accidents and injuries
in Pakistan.
